One more week left of work
It's interesting how a quick phone conversation, with someone completely random, can put you into a good mood.

I used Skype for the first time last night.
Me: "Did you play with your hair today?"
Josh: "Did you play with your butt today?"

Perseid Meteor Shower update
I couldn't have asked for a better night to watch the meteor showers. There wasn't a cloud in the sky and we had such a great view of the stars and the milky way that I didn't want to leave. I wait for this night every year, and I always keep it open so that I can camp with my lawn chair under the stars.
This year, the boyfriend and I decided to watch the meteors by the windmills in Lowbanks. There aren't any city lights in the area so it made for great conditions to watch the night sky.
We both had our cameras set up, but were unable to capture any meteors in the sky. Check out this group on Flickr dedicated to this year's shower: http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=Perseid+Meteor+Shower+2010.

Scotch pop-up tape
Seriously? Is our society THAT lazy that we can't rip off our own pieces of tape? What if you want smaller pieces than they give? What if you want longer pieces? I feel like my privilege to rip off my own tape has been taken away by Scotch.
Thanks a lot.

Nope, not happening!
I will NOT miss the Perseid meteor showers this year due to cloudy skies and/or rain.

Dinner conversations: Changing my car's name to Hexadecimal
but before I could explain myself to my family, my dad said,
"To I don't have one?"
I applauded him for his comeback.
But seriously, the first four letters in my license plate are "BHEX" and that's when I thought of Hexadecimal.

Dad's Advice
My dad reminisced about a job he had in his early 20's that he became bored of because it involved too much routine. He and his fellow workers would leave work at 11:30am, buy a six pack of beer, divide it amongst themselves, and be back at work in under an hour.
My mom said, "Are you telling her to go out and drink?"
My dad said, "Hey, I'm just telling her that sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do".
Today I learned telemarketers don't understand English
He wasn't getting the picture, so I spelt it out for him. I went on a huge rant about why I left Bell and when I say "I'm not interested" it means that "I'm not interested and don't try to persuade me to change my mind".
After my schpeal, he quickly said, "Okay mam, thank you very much, have a nice day".
This was completely out of character, but it was the best thing I could do next to hanging up on him.
What I'm trying to say is, I feel like a huge burden has been lifted from my shoulders.
I'm glad that it was a nice surprise
You're pretty much one of the only people I hang out with, so of course I'm going to dedicate a few blogs to you. And I don't really care if no one knows what I'm talking about because this is my blog, about my random thoughts, which you seem to understand.
Anyways, that's enough cheese for one day.
Also, guess who will be available after midnight.
