Finding new music was the only thing that went right at work today

Once upon a time,

there was an oil spill in the Welland Canal. Approximately 1000 liters of diesel fuel spilled into the water just south of the Clarence St. bridge in Port Colborne on June 15, 2010. Residents were immediately warned not to drink the tap water for 24 hours until test results proved the water to be uncontaminated the following morning.

My mom left me a few notes reminding me not to use the water:

Food cramps

from an amazing Father's Day lunch at the grandparents, plus supper at Walter's, and a free chocolate and vanilla milk shake afterwards.

Words cannot express how awesome today has been. I've been in a super good mood all day (rare, I know) and I'm sure it will continue until I go to sleep tonight.

Who wants to rub a cripple?

To whom it may concern,

Why does the cheapest ticket for the Simon and Garfunkel concert at the ACC have to be $165.25?

The worst part about this is, I'm honestly contemplating it SO MUCH right now.

So much.

What a morning

This morning a customer came into work and asked me to help set up his Wi-Fi for him. I told him I would try my best and he proceeded to slide his device out of the case he was carrying.

When I saw the apple logo on the back of it my first thought was, "When did they come out with a mini MacBook?" It wasn't until I actually looked did I realize that the man was holding an iPad.

My jaw literally dropped. I couldn't believe that an iPad had made its way to Port Colborne. He saw my excitement and told me I could play with it if I helped him with his Internet connection. I did my part and he followed through with his promise.

Oh man oh man oh man oh man oh man.

The first thing he showed me was USA Today and let me read some articles. Honestly, it wasn't a bad read. The screen was bright, words were legible, and sliding my finger across the screen never got old.

Then he let me play Tetris. You had to tap on the side of the screen to rotate the shapes and sliding your finger down the screen made them drop faster.

I will always remember you my dear iPad.

One week

It's weird how hearing your voice over the phone can make me forget about how miserable I feel today.

I took this the other day

First photography of the summer. I dunno what it is about out of focus pictures, but they win me over.
