Dinner conversations: Changing my car's name to Hexadecimal

but before I could explain myself to my family, my dad said,

"To I don't have one?"

I applauded him for his comeback.

But seriously, the first four letters in my license plate are "BHEX" and that's when I thought of Hexadecimal.
