Hungry

Nothing beats forcing yourself out of bed at 8am only to listen to soft rock for an hour and a half when you're at the dentist's office. I had to giggle to myself when Avril Lavigne's "Complicated" came on the radio while I was waiting for my cavity to be filled.

That was by far the hugest needle I've seen in my life and my entire body cringed when it came into contact with my gums. And then came the tingles.

In all honesty, it wasn't as bad experience as I thought it was going to be. The thought of something drilling into my tooth always made me uneasy, but I was a champ today. There was only one point at the beginning when I felt some pressure on my tooth and I let my dentist know right away. We waited a minute or so and then continued on with the rest of the procedure.

Now I'm sitting at my kitchen table with a rumbly tummy that's shouting, "feeeeed me". It's so tempting to munch out on the red grapes that are in my fridge, but I don't think that would work out too well considering half of my mouth is numb.

So instead of actually eating food, I'm going to write about it. For my sociology essay, I need to conduct an analysis on food advertisements from the 20th and 21st century to discuss the changes in lifestyle portrayed through these advertisements.

Yours truly.

  1. Oman, the first (and only time, thank goodness) I've had to get a cavity filled I was so scared. I hate needles. I think I have a disorder because I am SO afraid of them, to the point where I faint baha. Maybe my weak stomach has something to do with it :P

Good job with getting through today, though!! Good luck with your essay. :)
