Cinnamon Rolls

1 cup Butter or margarine, softened
4 oz. Cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup Granulated sugar
1 Egg
1 tsp Vanilla

2 1/4 cup All-Purpose flour
1/2 tsp Baking soda
1/4 tsp salt

1 tbsp Melted butter
Cinnamon sprinkle
Brown sugar sprinkle

1. Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar well together. I did this until there there were no visible lumps of cream cheese in the batter.
2. Beat in egg and vanilla.
3. Stir flour, baking soda, and salt together and add. Mix well. *note
4. Roll dough 1/4 inch thick into rectangle about 9x13 inches.
5. Brush with melted butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon and brown sugar.
6. Beginning at long side, roll up like a jelly roll.
7. Chill 1/2 hour.
8. Slice 1/2 inch thick. Arrange on greased baking sheet.
9. Bake in 350 F oven for 10-12 minutes.

Makes about 4 1/2 dozen.

*note: the batter was sticky after I finished mixing all of the ingredients, so we gradually added more flower to the mixture to thicken it up a bit. This guaranteed that the batter wouldn't stick to the rolling pin when rolling into a rectangle.

Baking in the oven!

End result. Yummy.
